1. MSB Status
Milli is not currently registered with FinCEN as a Money Services Business. Milli is a financial technology company that provides software, analytics, and access to financial products offered by licensed partners. Milli does not accept, hold, or transmit customer funds in its own name.
2. How Money Movement Works
Where Milli features involve moving or holding money, such as Milli Tax Vault reserves, quarterly tax payments, or Milli Elite Card transactions, those services are provided by a federally regulated partner bank and its payment processors. Your funds are held and moved by those institutions, which maintain their own licenses, registrations, and BSA/AML programs. The partner institution will be identified to you before you enroll.
3. State Money Transmitter Licenses
Milli does not currently hold state money transmitter licenses, because money transmission is performed by our licensed partner institutions. See our State Regulatory Licenses page for current status by state.
4. Future Changes
If Milli's activities change in a way that requires MSB registration or state licensing, Milli will obtain the required registration and licenses before offering those services and will update this page with registration details.
5. Compliance Program
Milli maintains a BSA/AML compliance program as described in our FinCEN Compliance Statement. Questions: compliance@drivemilli.com.
